Arrive at the airport where your overseas airport transfer will be waiting to take you to your accommodation.
- DAY *2*
Your first visit of the day is to Palacio Real, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family. This magnificent palace is the largest in Western Europe with 3,418 rooms!
Next on today’s itinerary is a trip to see the must-see Plaza Mayor – an iconic symbol of Madrid. Once the centre of old Madrid, this enormous esplanade in the city centre was begun in the 17th century by King Philip III. It’s a great place to wander around and is home to many traditional shops and a plethora of bars and restaurants.
The afternoon will then be spent visiting the bustling square of Puerta del Sol which features several attractions such as “The Bear and The Strawberry Tree”, another important symbol of Madrid.

In the morning you’ll visit the popular Prado Museum which is the most well known and the largest museum in Madrid. This incredible art museum is home to the world’s richest and most comprehensive collection of Spanish painting, as well as masterpieces of other schools of European painting, especially Italian and Flemish art.
You’ll then travel to your next visit of the day, discovering El Retiro Park which was built as a recreational park for royalty. Covering over 125 hectares and comprising more than 15,000 trees, El Retiro Park is a green oasis in the heart of the city. In it you’ll find all kinds of interesting monuments and gardens. One of the gardens is home to a Mexican Conifer which is said to be 400 years old and Madrid’s oldest tree.
Finally visit the famous Bernabeu Stadium, Real Madrid FC!!
