In these uncertain and difficult times, we understand that you may have lots of questions and so we’ve put some information below, based on the most common things we’re being asked at this time.

If you have any other questions, please do get in touch directly with your Tour Organiser or email [email protected]

As members of the School Travel Forum, we have been working closely with our suppliers to ensure that all aspects of future trips are undertaken in as COVID-secure conditions as possible.

We require all coach companies and accommodation suppliers to confirm that they have taken the necessary measures to ensure that their services are COVID-secure.

If you would like copies of the audit forms that we require all such suppliers to complete, please contact us.

As an accredited member of The School Travel Forum(STF), we adhere to the accrediting body guidelines with regard to safety management, which includes COVID-19.

The STF has created a useful In Safe Hands toolkit that is available for you to download here: www.schooltravelforum.com/teachers-toolkit (scroll down the page).

The STF was established many years ago to help schools travel with confidence and is a non-profit, professional trade association that promotes school travel and upholds the best in class health & safety processes.

As members of ABTA, The School Travel Forum (STF), and the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC), and a holder of an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL) issued by the CAA, we only use audited accommodation and transport that follow “COVID-19 Secure” guidelines required by UK/Overseas public health agencies at the location. We ask all of our customers to engage and respect hotel, coach/airport systems & restrictions. We will make COVID-19 risk assessments available prior to travel based on the most current health guidelines.

We are a well-established and respected Tour Operator with many decades of experience. As a member of ABTA & and holder of an ATOL, your money is protected by law and it is our legal responsibility to financially protect customer deposits as required by Package Travel Regulation. We encourage and advise all customers to follow the terms and conditions of the booking to ensure deposits are financially protected in line with current travel law & FCDO advice. ABTA remains available to support matters of consumer protection, offering support and services.

We understand the many challenges schools and groups are facing at this time and we are committed to supporting you as much as we can. Please speak with your Tour Organiser to discuss support and flexibility can be offered or email [email protected]

We are hopeful that some trips will happen in 2021 and are currently working on this basis. However, if you have a trip organised and you feel you wish to move the dates then please discuss the options with your Tour Organiser or email [email protected]

Most travel insurance companies now offer cover that includes COVID-19. Typically, the policies cover cancellation due to COVID-19 for the individual/party, medical treatment in resort, and repatriation. As with all insurance policies, we advise that customers take the time to understand the details of any travel insurance policy. Holding valid travel insurance is a requirement to travel with us.

As part of the arrangements between the UK & EU, no difficulties are expected for travel around the EU for up to 90 days in 180 days. Initially, your itinerary may include additional time to allow for any minor delays at border controls. However, it is in the interest of all parties for the borders to flow smoothly in both directions. Please note that to travel in Europe, there must be at least 6 months left (from the ten years from the ISSUE date) on all passports. Please ensure all members of the party have checked they have a valid passport to travel to avoid any difficulties at the port. The below link offers further information that you may find useful:

Following Brexit arrangements, the EHIC system is to continue under a new name – the Global Health Insurance Card, or GHIC. We recommend that all of our customers have a valid card prior to travel and read through the following guidance at the links below for the most up to date information.

We are slowly returning to normal working conditions following the recent restrictions. Many of our staff are still working under the ‘flexible furlough’ scheme, but there is always someone available to support you during office hours.
