Our seven day trip to Lourdes by coach is our best value trip for this destination. A cross-curriculum tour ideal for teachers wishing to introduce their students to one of the most notorious pilgrimage destination in the world and discovering the beauty the treasures of the Pyrénées at the same time.
Lourdes, 160 years of Pilgrimage
Since 1858, Lourdes has attracted millions of pilgrims from all over the world. Every year, during the pilgrimage season between Easter and October, between four and six million pilgrims visit Lourdes.
Our 4 night trip gives you the opportunity to follow the footsteps of Bernadette Soubirous, visiting among other places Museum of Saint Bernadette, The Boly Mill, Bernadette’s birthplace and The Cachot, where Bernadette lived during the Apparitions. A couple of days will be reserved to visit further afield from the shrine and visit local highlights such as Le Pic du Jer.

Participate in one of the world’s most important pilgrimages
ITINERARY
- DAY *1*
Departure from your school by coach towards Folkestone for Channel crossing by Eurotunnel to France.
- DAY *2*
You will arrive late afternoon and check in to your hotel. After dinner, join the torchlight procession.
- DAY *3*
A guided visit of Lourdes “In The Footsteps of Bernadette” with an expert guide, then a film about the history of Lourdes, followed by a visit to Massabiele Grotto where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette.
- DAY *4*
Mass and then a mini-train ride around the city. In the afternoon a ride on the 100 year old funicular to over 1000ft and stunning views.
Finish your afternoon with a visit to Little Lourdes, a miniature version of how Lourdes would have been in 1858. - DAY *5*
Visit the animal park of Ayzac followed by a visit of Bétharram caves, series of French caves, the visit is done by foot, by boat and by train.

Depart accommodation after breakfast and begin your journey through France on your way back home.
- DAY *7*
Arrive back at your school during the morning.
