You will travel by private transfer to your accommodation, en-route experiencing the delights of Delhi. 8 DAY, ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Train journey to Agra.
Visit the Taj Mahal in all its glory, the iconic and greatest romantic gesture of all time. After lunch you’ll be guided through the elaborate and fascinating Agra Fort, former residence of the Mughal Emperors.
Return to Delhi
Relaxed breakfast before a day discovering Old Delhi
Visit temples, spice markets and Chandni Chowk with its narrow streets. Take a rickshaw to Jain Trust School, a charity run school providing children with the chance of an education despite their gender, economic status or physical ability. After dinner transfer to Delhi Railway Station for the overnight train to Haridwar
Arrive Haridwar early, morning transfer to Rishikesh, lunch and introductions on arrival. Time to relax and settle in. After lunch enjoy a visit to the Beatle Ashram, set along the Ganges, then return to Rishikesh to explore temples and shopping in local bazaars.
Dinner, evening campfire and activities
Day of activities, can include yoga, water rafting descent followed by a traditional afternoon, learn Indian cooking, local crafts.
In the evening visit Triveni Ghat for the holy ceremony of Aarti.
Morning of activities, can include yoga, trekking and school visit.
Transfer to Dehradun train station for afternoon train to Delhi.
Arrive Delhi, Transfer to accommodation.
Visit ‘Gurudwara Bangla Sahib’ Sikh temple where you can provide help in the community kitchens. In the afternoon enjoy ‘Free time’ in Delhi, you decide where you would like to go and what you would like to do. Presentation and farewells.
The following day, transfer to the airport for the return flight home.
