Within the city, must see visits include the world renowned Acropolis, located high above the modern city on a rocky crag along with the National Archaeological Museum. It is the largest in Greece and has over 11,000 exhibits that represent Greek civilization from the beginnings of Prehistory to Late Antiquity.
Travelling out of the city, this tour will give you a chance to visit Delphi, a town located at the foot of Mount Parnassos and once home to a legendary oracle. You shall also get a chance to explore the Epidaurus Theatre and the archaeological site of Mycenae.

ITINERARY
- DAY *1*
Travel to your chosen UK airport and join your flight to Athens.
Upon arrival, you will take a private coach to your accommodation where you will be based for the next 4 nights. Check in and enjoy your evening meal. - DAY *2*
Your day will begin with a morning spent on-board your coach with a local, professional guide who will show you some of the wonderful sights of Athens.
Your afternoon will then be spent visiting the archaeological site of the Acropolis, a highlight of any visit to this historic city.
- DAY *3*
Today you will spend the day with a local guide visiting Delphi. Once known as the centre of the world, it is a famous ancient sanctuary with links to the ancient classical world.
You will get time to discover both the original site and museum. - DAY *4*
Today is another full day taking in the sites of both Mycenae and Epidaurus. Mycenae was a major centre of Greek Civilization and military stronghold between 1600 BC – 1100 BC.
Epidaurus was a small city in ancient Greece and the theatre was designed in the 4th century BC and seats up to 15,000 people. - DAY *5*
After breakfast, you will depart your accommodation and will be transported back to Athens airport where you board your flight back to the UK.
